MORE THAN A RACE: A MISSION ✊

Why is our race name Afazik Impulse?

Because winning only makes sense when it serves a cause.

At sea, as on land, we proudly stand for the fight against invisible disabilities caused by acquired brain injury.

Aphasia is a possible — but not systematic — consequence of brain injury. It is often striking and highly visible, sometimes too visible: the tree that hides the forest. What matters is to speak more broadly about invisible disabilities resulting from accidental brain injury, most commonly due to traumatic brain injury or stroke. The limitations are many, and the parallels with what we experience at sea are striking.

Our parallel is simple:

🌊 At sea: Facing the elements means adapting, finding new ways to communicate, and never giving up.

🧠 In life: It is the same fight for the professional reintegration of people living with aphasia.

At sea, only teamwork makes headway -
